Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, and cubed
  • 1 pint unfiltered apple juice
  • ¼ -teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1½ teaspoons kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ head of red cabbage, shredded
Instructions
  1. Heat canola oil over medium-high heat in a large pot.
  2. Add in the apples and cook until slightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Turn heat to high and add in apple juice, caraway seeds, salt, pepper and cabbage. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
