The Best Green Beans Ever
 
 
Ingredients
  • 1 pound green beans (ends snapped off)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large red onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. Melt the butter in a pan over medium high heat.
  2. Add the garlic and onions and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Then add in the green beans and cook for another 2 minutes until the beans turn bright green.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle in salt and pepper. Turn the heat to low and cover with a lid. Leave the lid cracked a bit so steam can escape.
  5. Cook for 20-30 minutes, until liquid has evaporated and beans are tender, but not mushy.
  6. Pop them in a serving dish and watch the disappearing act.
