Ingredients
  • 2½ pounds Ground Beef
  • ½ whole Large Onion, Diced
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 5 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1½ cups Ketchup
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • ½ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 3 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 Dashes Hot Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • Rolls plus butter for toasting
Instructions
  1. Start off by browning your ground beef over medium-high heat in a large pan. Make sure to drain off the fat once it's cooked.
  2. Add in onion and cook for about 3 minutes until the onions start to soften.
  3. Pour in water. Then add in ketchup and garlic. Stir it all together.
  4. Add in the brown sugar, chili powder, dry mustard, red pepper flakes, hot sauce, Worcestershire and salt and pepper. Give it a quick taste to make sure the seasoning is right. Pop on a lid, drop the heat down to medium-low and continue cooking for 20 minutes.
  5. While the meat is cooking, butter up some buns and brown on a griddle. A skillet will work just fine too.
  6. Place the toasted bun on a plate and load it up with a good amount of the meat mixture. Enjoy!
