  • FOR CAKE:
  • 1½ sticks Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 4 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1¼ cups Whole Milk
  • 3 Egg Whites
  • FOR TOPPING:
  • 1-1/2 stick Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • ¾ cups Flour
  • 1½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Whip up egg whites until you have stiff peaks. Set aside.
  3. Cream together butter and sugar in a stand mixer. Alternate adding flour and milk in 3 batches. Be sure to not overmix.
  4. Fold egg whites into batter gently.
  5. Grease a 9x13 baking dish. Pour batter into dish and spread out evenly.
  6. In a separate bowl, add topping ingredients and cut in butter with a pastry cutter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the batter.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until it's set in the middle. Serve and enjoy!
