Fit Foodie 5k Race Weekend

Hi Guys! Hope your day is going well. I have some exciting news! I’ve been invited to be an ambassador at the Fit Foodie Race Weekend in San Diego on November 14-16! This event is the ultimate celebration of food, fitness, and fun. I am beyond thrilled to be a part of this event. I am clearly a foodie and like to eat what I want. The Fit Foodie Race Weekend’s theme this year is “calories burned equals calories earned.” You can eat what you want, as long as you balance it with some healthy exercise. This is  my new motto in life. I’m new to the game of exercising regularly, but since I’ve started, I feel great! I’m using the Couch to 5k app to get myself ready for race day. It’s been wonderful training tool for this beginner runner, and I have to admit, I’m addicted 🙂

The Fit Foodie 5K Race Weekend is jam-packed with delicious food, cooking and fitness demonstrations, a yoga session with celebrity trainer Kristin McGee, and a Power Systems Obstacle Course Bootcamp, led by celebrity trainer Patrick Goudeau. Also expect to rub elbows with editors and contributors from CookingLight and Health magazines who will be on hand to share tips and tricks for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Dinner-1

Friday night, kick off your Fit Foodie weekend in style at the Light Up The Night VIP Cocktail Party. Mix and mingle with celeb chefs, Editors from Cooking Light & Health, and your fellow Fit Foodies, who will be there to help you get energized for the big day and have a little Friday night fun. During the dinner you’ll learn expert tips and tricks for having a great run and enter to win amazing giveaways!

5K-01

Saturday is race day! Ready, set, go! – To the most delicious 5K race around! Cooking Light & Health’s The Fit Foodie 5K Race Presented by Lexus is the ultimate celebration of food, fitness and fun. Put those running shoes to work as you navigate your way around an awesome 5K course along the San Diego Bay Front. On the morning of the race, we will get you pumped up with a group stretch and dance party to loosen up those muscles in preparation for the Race!

The whole event sounds fantastic and the portion of the proceeds that goes to city of hope is just added incentive to do it. Great work!
