These cute "Lumps of Coal" are so fun to make for the holidays. Made with Cocoa Krispies & crushed Oreos, they're perfect for those who are naughty or nice! | sarahnspice.com

Here’s a cute and fun recipe to get in before Christmas.šŸŽ„Ā We all know the story, if you’ve been naughty, Santa will leave you lumps of coal in your stocking. Good news is you’ll actually enjoy these lumps of coal. KidsĀ are huge fans, even the big ones šŸ˜‰

They’re so easy to make, kind of like Rice KrispiesĀ Treats with a fun little twist. Ā Oreos, Cocoa Krispies and a few drops of black food coloring transform these goodies into some tasty Lumps of Coal!

Start off by pulsing the Oreos in a food processor until you have 1 1/2 cups of Oreo crumbs.

In a microwave safe bowl, heat the marshmallows and butter in the microwave for 60-90 seconds until the marshmallows are super soft.

Stir the marshmallows and butter together. Add in 5-10 drops off black food coloring gel. I got mine on Amazon.

Mix it all together until you get the color you’re looking for.

Add in the Cocoa Krispies and Oreo crumbs. Mix until it’s all combined. It’s going to be sticky and a little tough to mix, so get your guns ready!Ā šŸ’ŖĀ Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes until the marshmallows cool down.

Take about 2 tablespoons (I used my mini ice cream scoop) and scoop onto a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Gently press into little lumps of coal. Freeze for 20 minutes and press the pieces a little more tightly.

Pack in little bags and give them to those who are naughty…or nice šŸ˜‰

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!Ā šŸŽ…

Oh so fun! I’ve been naughty and think I need some lumps of coal…ok, well not as naughty as I’d like, and maybe even not naughty at all now that I think of it, lol! But I still would like a taste!
