We love meatballs! Whether they’re traditional Italian meatballs, albondigas in a delicious Mexican soup, or these fantastic Swedish Meatballs in a creamy gravy sauce. Eat your heart out IKEA! This dish is perfect to keep you warm during the holidays. The epitome of comfort food. Like a big warm hug of yum!
So, grab a comfy pair of sweatpants, finish up your Christmas shopping online and reward yourself for your hard work up a big bowl of Swedish Meatballs.
Gather your ingredients.
Mix the beef, breadcrumbs, onions, egg, salt and pepper together in a large bowl until evenly combined.
Roll into 1 1/2″ balls. Heat some canola oil in a large pot over medium-high heat and cook the meatballs for 1 minute on each side.
Add in broth…
…milk, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce to the pot. Bring to a boil.
You can add in homemade noodles using our fresh pasta recipe and cut into strips, or you can pick up a package of egg noodles at the store. You just need 4 cups.
Add the noodles into the pot.
Stir constantly until the noodles are cooked through and the sauce has thickened, about 8 minutes.
Add the parmesan and parsley. Stir until cheese has melted.
Sprinkle with a little more parmesan and serve!
Have a wonderful weekend!

If I’m not making my own noodles for this, do I have to use fresh egg noodles or can I use dried ones? If I use dried noodles, how would that change the recipe?
Sarah says
You can easily use dried egg noodles. You will just need 4 cups of egg noodles, fresh or dried. Enjoy!
